went iceskating today with gero gill bee nat jo gerald jared aiman timothy qinrui hengyang. and later we adjourned to orchard where we met jun and continued whee.

anyways, i suck at iceskating but i more or less got the general hang of it after a while. and i could go relatively fast. however i couldnt really go fast unless i had a support. i.e. someone's hand/arm. someone who is good of course. so most of the time when i was skootching across the ice at top speed, i was also hanging onto the hand of qinrui/gerald. i know, im such a wuss >.<

aiman was good too, but he believes in the power of Skating By Yourself and Learning That Way. gurk. not very effective, really. and the funniest was of course when all of us clumped together and aiman decided to be mischievous and start pushing people. so like hengyang would careen out of control, grab onto jared, who would grab onto gerald and gerald being rather good would stumble a bit and attempt to keep everyone upright.

this happened a couple of times. especially when direction goes off and you smash into your teammate. ahahaha. but it was fun. despite blisters and all. and bee apparently screams lots when people swish her way. lol.

shopping was spas. i shan't go there.

and ohyes, thanks dude for the xmas present. twas cool. (: and yaye tmr's training let my blistered heels die while kicking the rudder! yay!

and yes i spent the last night at junyi's house. and it was awesome i love you babe. and yes i got new books! (woaaaah) and of course i finally got enough monies to buy guild wars: nightfall. this is the sexxx. and my new phone is really really nice. its the nokia 7390. nush get your paws off it. xD its bronze black though, pwnt.

tim, my dear brother, has inspired me to work and train harder for my fitness to increase. i mean, when he was in acjc canoeing, his balance wasnt good even though he was a k rower and he used his uber high cycle to balance himself. in the whole team, he was the only one doing high cycle while others all did long pull. his technique was pretty good too though, and in the end because of his fitness, he pwned everyone, despite balance problems and everything.

cuz he could do like 40 pullups while everyone else only could do the most 30. whoohoo, bro!

so yeah, fitness counts. once youve got it, youve got it. yeahhh. im inspired! real life story! and we were also talking about different styles of rowing, and mine is very punch across/out. his is very punch out, and not so across. and apparently, his is very italian/norwegian and mine is very hungarian. him having had watched so many rowing videos. ahaha.

okay penang! it was a great experience and we pwnt the competition, and the organisers screwed up quite a fair bit, being unfair to us but i shan't bitch cuz its over and we've to look ahead. and well penang really taught me about unselfishness and sacrifices, and that the team is always before yourself. always.

purchases: hard cover of Neil Gaiman's Fragile Things (which they didnt have in softcover gah), a Terry Pratchett book and some other hard cover book which i bought on impulse ahaha. FT cost like 30 singapore bucks, which is okay for a hard cover book i guess. TP cost 7 singapore bucks, and the other one cost 10 s'pore bucks. the last two were bought at a sale so the price was cool. and lastly, my final fantasy x-2 vocal collection, costing 10 s'pore bucks and being bloody worth it!
